AMS Powerprobe VTR-Mini: Our main rig, this 2005 model is mounted on a Bobcat track unit and is just 3 feet wide, making it extremely portable and maneuverable. It features 22,000 lbs of pull-down force and 27,900 lbs of pull-back, the rough equivalent of the Geoprobe 5400 series. It can drill at any angle and go anywhere.
Geoprobe GS-2000 Grout Pump: This powerful pump is used for materials injection and grouting. It supposedly produces a 2,000 psi blast and is single-handedly responsible for remediating many sites around New England. It is also used for well abandonment, and once was used successfully to stop a series of revolting leaks in a sanitary sewer line near MIT (don't bother calling us about that type of work again).
Bosch Brute Electric Jackhammer: This massive hammer crushes its opponents with 43 ft-lbs of impact energy and 1,400 blows per minute. We use it for limited-access installation of soil borings, wells, injection points and any other type of direct-push drilling, which it accomplishes better than some drill rigs.
Banana Splits Machine: This great old rig left us for greener pastures in September, 2005. It will be greatly missed. However, its chosen successor, the VTR-Mini, fully understands the large shoes it has to fill, and is up to the challenge of carrying Bronson Drilling into the future.
Ford F-250 Super-Duty: This gas-guzzling behemoth features V-8 power, a fully boxed frame, over 5 billion tons of towing capacity, etc. etc. This particular 2003 truck was once renowned throughout the drilling world for its disturbing shininess, but thanks to a freak waxing mishap, is now only disturbing.
Shiny New Trailer: Bronson Drilling is proud to finally own a trailer of which the wheels have not ever fallen off. Yes, it's only a matter of time before they do fall off - that's what happens with trailers. You buy them shiny and new, and after a while, the wheels fall off. Don't try to fight it - just accept it.
